Struggling with the loss. In Family Therapy With Dr. Jenn‘s Wednesday, April 13, episode, Jackass famous person Bam Margera opens up about his binge-drinking following Ryan Dunn‘s 2011 death in a car accident, as observed in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
In the VH1 series’ preview clip, the Viva La Bam alum, 36, tells therapist Jenn Mann that his downward spiral with substances began as he was pressured to grapple together with his Jackass collaborator and close friend Dunn’s passing.
“It simply seems like the whole lot at one level came crashing down,” Margera says. “That’s when it wasn’t even ingesting for the joys or for the social part of it. It was simply ingesting as a result of [of] total despair, kinda.”
He provides that Dunn’s untimely death resulted in “just the truth of [me] just being totally misplaced. Like, ‘Everything sucks, and the one factor that doesn’t suck is this bottle of Johnnie Walker.'”
