Ben Affleck Pokes Fun at Sad Affleck' Memes in Dunkin Commercial

Ben Affleck is poking fun at himself in a new Dunkin’ commercial inspired through the “Sad Affleck” memes following the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The new spot, which debuted all over the 2024 Grammys on Sunday, February 4, presentations the Air star, 51, looking at a television news clip of himself sitting along with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, at ultimate year’s awards show and seeing the headline, “Boredest Man in the World.”

“Keep guffawing,” Affleck says in the advert while sipping on an iced Dunkin’ coffee. “He’s bored. No. Steady. Always staring at. I will be able to do this. How arduous can it be?”

In the following scene, he answers a choice, probably from Lopez, and says he wants to be a “pop star,” which is the title of the commercial.

“I had this crazy dream, you’re going to laugh,” he explains. “I had come up with, like, some beats. And then you definately were like, ‘Maybe you will have to put that at the record.’ I even had a personality like J. Lo or like B. Lo. That’s the unhealthy model, clearly.”

When he asks if she had any time to collaborate, he clearly will get rejected, and replies, “I understand.”

His next option is TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, who appears in individual to assist him fulfill his dream.

“Maybe you'll show me the way it seems like,” he says to her. She then does a leg raise, and Affleck responds, “Yeah I will be able to do this,” before hilariously asking, “Who is TikTok?”

After putting out in his training with D’Amelio, the Air superstar attempts to hype himself.

“They let you know you’re no good. You’re a goofy, middle-aged, clumsy white man and not using a rhythm and you can’t sing on key. You’re now not coordinated. That manner I will be able to’t be a pop star?” he exclaims. “Underestimate Boston? At your peril.” (After being born in Berkeley, California, Affleck’s circle of relatives moved to Massachusetts when he was a child and he grew up in the Boston house.)

Then Affleck references the title of Lopez’ new album as he declares, “This is me … now,” whilst dressed in a sequence with a Dunkin’ donut around his neck.

The commercial ends with the caption, “To Be Continued.”

The Dunkin’s spot used to be inspired by means of Affleck’s infamous “bored” look going viral ultimate 12 months as he sat along with his spouse, 54, at the 2023 Grammys.

Lopez has since defended her husband’s appearance at award displays, pronouncing, “He is excited!”

Last 12 months, the two-time Oscar winner starred in Dunkin’s first Super Bowl commercial, enjoying a Dunkin’ employee operating the drive-thru window.
