BET's 106 & Park TV Show to End After 14 Years, Become Digital-Only

On Dec. 19, the lights of BET’s 106 & Park will move off. The popular track selection show is finishing after 14 years on the air. 

BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials Stephen Hill said in a statement, “All people had been touched via 106 & Park. Now it’s time for 106 & Park, as a daily TV entity, to take a bow and go out.” 

The show is being reformatted to become a digital-only sequence.

“It’ll be very exciting to hook up with the hundreds of thousands of people who are already engaged with 106 & Park and other BET virtual and social media entities and convey content that can additional evolve the 106 & Park brand — and give a boost to the total BET Networks logo," Hill continued. "As we transition to the digital house, we look to proceed 106 & Park’s function as both a pacesetter of and a mirror to youth tradition. We’ll have additional information to proportion about how this is to roll out very quickly.”
