Friends perpetually? Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have had their justifiable share of tension over the years, but the “Beautiful” singer is hoping to transport forward.

After assembly as The All-New Mickey Mouse Club cast individuals in the early Nineties, they had been continuously pitted towards one another as they introduced their pop careers later that decade.

“It’s laborious to listen to your self being referred to as names,” Aguilera advised Cosmopolitan in September 2018. “I be mindful being hurt by way of those ads on MTV, pitting Britney as the just right lady and me as the dangerous lady. It’s like, if I’m going to be demure and innocent, that’s okay. But if I’m going to simply be myself, I’m trouble.”

Amid the ones comparisons, both took shots at their rival in the press. “When somebody has been rude to you so many instances, it’s like, ‘You know what, Christina, I’m in point of fact now not about the fake anymore,'” Spears informed Blender in 2004 about her relationship with the “Fighter” singer. Aguilera, in the meantime, described the Crossroads star as a “misplaced little girl” in her personal interview with the outlet that year.

In the years that adopted, however, the pop stars seemingly buried the hatchet. In January 2022, Aguilera published that she “couldn’t be happier” that Spears’ 13-year conservatorship had ended, after a long and highly-publicized prison struggle.
