Celebrities are similar to Us — and love taking in a ballgame at their favourite baseball stadium.

Some stars have even long gone as far as throwing the first pitch, like Emma Stone’s husband, Dave McCary, who is a “lifelong Padres fan.” McCary had the distinction of stepping onto the mound ahead of a June 2021 date night with the La La Land actress.

Kate Upton and her husband, MLB pitcher Justin Verlander, on the other hand, have baseball to thank for starting their love story. The couple met in February 2012 on the set of a commercial for the Major League Baseball 2K12 video game and tied the knot 5 years later.

“It’s been such an out of this world decade! Meeting my best possible good friend, getting married and starting a family has been probably the most superb present ever!!! Nothing tops that,” Verlander wrote via Instagram in December 2019.
