From dynamic duo to frenemies! Drake Bell and Josh Peck skyrocketed to popularity after their hit Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh premiered in 2004. Throughout 4 seasons and two made-for-TV motion pictures, they starred as two completely reverse teens who become stepbrothers that have been compelled to percentage a room.

While Bell and Peck, both 30, have been pals right through filming, the pair appeared to have drifted after wrapping the series in 2007. Bell wasn’t invited to Peck’s June 2017 nuptials to Paige O’Brien, and took to Twitter to hint that he was peeved. “True colors have pop out today,” he wrote in since-deleted tweet. “Message is loud and clear. Ties are formally cut. I’ll pass over you brother.”

A source informed Us Weekly at the time that they haven’t spoken in three years. “Josh was in reality harm,” the insider claims. “They aren’t close anymore and Josh had a very small marriage ceremony.”

A few months later, Bell confirmed to Us that they had worked out their differences and were in a good place.

“It’s attention-grabbing, we’re if truth be told nearer than we’ve been in a while … It’s utterly great. It’s all love. We’re brothers, guy,” the musician informed Us in September 2017. “We’ve been running together for 18 years, maybe even longer now. So we’ve had our ups, we’ve had our downs, it’s like we’re actual brothers. It’s kind of that sibling competition and sibling love and it’s the complete factor.”

Bell, who still believed that his response was “utterly justifiable” printed how the pair made amends.

“We ran into each and every different at the VMAs. It used to be cool as a result of I had referred to as him and we have been talking about meeting up. And that’s always kind of hectic. ‘What am I going to mention? Where are we going to fulfill? The trip over?’ So I used to be in reality happy that it took place organically,” he shared. “And he just more or less walked up at the back of me and I used to be like, ‘Oh. We need to handle this at this time.’ And so we have been in a position to speak and hash it out and it’s all excellent.”

In June 2021, the Amanda Show alum was arraigned and charged with two criminal counts of attempted endangering children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. Bell to begin with pleaded no longer guilty but later changed his plea during his pretrial hearing.

The California local was once sentenced to two years probation the following month and Peck advised Variety that the situation was “unfortunate.” Nearly two years later, Bell and his ex-wife Janet Von Schmeling officially announced their separation after 4 years of marriage in January 2023 following earlier stories of their cut up in past due 2022.

Despite his and Bell’s ups and downs over the years, Peck doesn’t regret the time they spent in combination as kid actors. “Maybe I'd have idea two times about having my awkward teenage years [air] in reruns,” he exclusively told Us in March 2023. “But the truth is [that] from Drake & Josh to everything I’ve achieved since then, I’m very proud to have made families glad. I feel incredibly fortunate to be 36 and still running and [doing] one thing that I love.”
