Longtime bachelor George Clooney after all met his fit within the stunning, achieved human rights lawyer Amal Clooney. Still, it took Amal slightly bit to accept that their romance was the real deal.

“We by no means talked about marriage once we have been courting, and I asked her all of the sudden,” George instructed CBS in November 2020. “[It] took her a very long time to mention sure. I was on my knee for, like, 20 minutes. I finally mentioned, ‘Look, I’m gonna throw my hip out.’ We told that story to her folks, and they’re like, ‘There’s one thing incorrect together with his hip?’”

The pair first met whilst in Lake Como, Italy, in 2013. Later that 12 months, they'd their first date in London. Five months after the actor proposed, the two were given married in a fantasy wedding at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Venice, Italy, in September 2014.

While the couple didn’t to start with plan to start out a circle of relatives, Us Weekly confirmed in February 2017 that they were expecting. The first-time folks quickly welcomed their twins, Alexander and Ella, in June 2017.

Today, the circle of relatives lives a charmed existence in combination — despite the normal hiccups any relationship goes through.
