Gilmore Girls Revival Casting: David Sutcliffe Returns as Christopher!

Trouble is already brewing in Lorelai/Luke city! Actor David Sutcliffe, who performed Lorelai’s ex and Rory’s father, Christopher Hayden, is returning for the Gilmore Girls Netflix reboot, Variety reports

Both Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and Scott Patterson (Luke Danes) have already signed directly to the reboot. On the display, Christopher proposed to Lorelai when she were given pregnant at 16, but she became him down and ran clear of house to raise their daughter alone in Stars Hollow.

The couple reunited in the season 2 finale at Sookie’s marriage ceremony, however Christopher left the nuptials early when he discovered that his ex-girlfriend Sherry was pregnant. In the controversial final season of Gilmore Girls, Lorelai split from her then-fiancé, Luke, and rekindled her romance with Christopher. The pair spontaneously married in France and then broke up in the middle of season 7 (“You’re the man I need to want,” sob!).

In the collection finale, Lorelai and Luke reunited, giving lovers hope that the couple would paintings issues out. Christopher is the first of Lorelai’s exes (unless you depend the flannel-loving diner proprietor) to enroll in the reboot — take note Max Medina? — but all 3 of Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) major males — Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) and Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger) — have signed on.
