It’s been moderately some time since we’ve noticed our favorite khal make an look on Game of Thrones. A casualty of the first season, Jason Momoa’s character, Khal Drogo, died in a brawl with some other member of his clan, main the way in which for his Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), to take a swing at the Iron Throne. There hasn’t been any trace about the Conan the Barbarian actor returning to the role — until now.
Momoa, 37, not too long ago posted a photo to his Instagram web page, of himself in Northern Ireland sharing a Guinness with Game of Thrones collection creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. (The U.K. country is one of the display’s key film places.)
“Love ya GOT greatest display on earth ALOHA DROGO,” Momoa wrote in the caption. In a word: whoa.
Now ahead of enthusiasts get overly excited, it must be said that the in-demand actor has been splitting his time between England and Ireland for his position as Aquaman in the 2017 blockbuster Justice League. However, his part in the Warner Brothers’ juggernaut has already wrapped, and he is currently between movies, leading to speculation that this is more than a reunion amongst buddies and is as a substitute a significant plot twist for the Emmy-winning HBO collection.
While the chances of Drogo returning to existence are almost definitely slender to nil (just sayin’!), it’s someone’s wager what remains in retailer for the general two seasons. The season 6 finale saw Dany hitting the open waters to in spite of everything carry warfare to King’s Landing and the Lannister extended family. With this increased center of attention on Khaleesi, bringing back rising celebrity Momoa as a spirit or possibly in a flashback would make absolute best sense.
There is indisputably that the new season will carry its proportion of shockers. Maisie Williams, the actress who brings Arya Stark to existence, tweeted this week that “nothing will prepare you” for the next batch of episodes. Indeed, Momoa’s potential return without a doubt qualifies as a twist that no longer many viewers would have observed coming!
