Last week, Damon, 46, instructed DeGeneres, 59, that Kimmel will do a bad job hosting the Academy Awards. “I imply, it’s terrible for everyone. Damon, who produced the Oscar-nominated drama Manchester through the Sea, added: “I’m going to be there a few rows deep hoping that he messes up.”
Kimmel clapped again all the way through his own chat with DeGeneres. “He’s going to be more than a few rows deep. That’s difficult talk coming from a guy that wears Eleven bracelets, I believe,” he joked on Thursday. “One factor I know he received’t be throwing at me is an Oscar because he’s not going to win.”
Kimmel and Damon’s faux feud started in December 2005. “We had a bad [Jimmy Kimmel Live!] show. … The guests had been bad, and I used to be feeling lovely dangerous about myself at the end of the program,” Kimmel defined to NPR in 2013. “And I determined to say, for the amusement of one in every of our producers who was status subsequent to me … ‘I need to express regret to Matt Damon.
