“I don’t feel like I need to pass to that step to feel any otherwise about how I do about my dating,” the “Strip That Down” crooner, 24, said all the way through an interview with SiriusXM’s The Morning Mashup on Wednesday, May 16. “I feel like we’re in an excessively at ease place at this time and, like, having my son method more than anything else to me on this planet. So you know, it’s now not in point of fact like we'd like to take that next step. We would possibly do it within the long-term, but it surely’s not, like, a big deal.”
The former One Direction member has had the same stance on marriage for quite a while. In May 2017, he instructed The Sun that exchanging vows is on the back burner.
“I see marriage as extra of a religious thing and I’m not in point of fact a religious particular person, so I know it’s now not actually [in] the cards for me these days,” he defined on the time. “So no, [I haven’t proposed] but sadly.”

The British singers, who began courting in 2015, had been struggling with break up rumors since going public with their romance in February 2016. Payne spread out about fighting off breakup reports whilst talking to ES mag in March.
“The funniest thing was once per week prior to we were getting married. The subsequent week we’re splitting up. And the article for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere within the middle,” he admitted. “You know, we have our struggles. Like, of course I’m not gonna take a seat right here and say that the whole lot’s absolutely high quality and dandy, because of direction you go through different things and that’s what a relationship is. But we undergo them together as a circle of relatives and that’s the most important for me.”
