While Uche Okoroha shut down Aaliyah Cosby’s reconciliation makes an attempt on Love Is Blind, the pair did take a look at dating once more after cameras stopped rolling.

“We talked nearly daily for a while. We have been making an attempt to pursue a dating,” Aaliyah, 29, exclusively instructed Us Weekly forward of season 5, which premiered earlier this month. “It just didn’t finally end up understanding for us.”

Aaliyah met Uche, 34, in the Love Is Blind pods right through season 5, briefly hitting it off. As Uche used to be gearing up to propose to Aaliyah, their dating reached a standstill when it used to be revealed that he dated fellow contestant Lydia Velez Gonzalez several months earlier than the experiment started.

While Uche reassured Aaliyah that his previous with the 32-year-old geologist was within the rearview replicate, Lydia couldn’t resist recounting their three-month courting. As a consequence, Aaliyah made up our minds to leave the display early.

“I felt like my boundaries weren’t being absolutely revered by means of Lydia,” she advised Us of deciding to walk away from Love Is Blind and Uche. “I stated to her that, ‘I used to be going to keep, but I didn’t need the consistent figuring out things about the previous and your past with him. Uche found out from a producer on proposal day that Aaliyah had left the experiment. After his shock wore off, he agreed to meet up with her in person. There, Aaliyah attempted to explain her perspective whilst soliciting for a second chance. Uche — who even claimed that Lydia had stalked him after their breakup and speculated that was once why she signed up for Love Is Blind — grew to become Aaliyah down.

Aaliyah, for her part, is now “accepting” that their relationship did not turn out how she to start with was hoping it could. “I’m in an excellent spot [and] I’m happy,” she gushed. “Life is nice and I’m so blessed, truthfully.”
