Multiple people had been shot near the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, February 14.

“Shots had been fired round Union Station. Please go away the realm,” the Kansas City Missouri Police Department introduced by way of X on Wednesday, following the Super Bowl parade. In a chain of follow-up tweets, the dept showed that “multiple people had been struck” after shots had been fired close to a storage close to the development and that they had been “still seeking to determine the choice of shooting victims.”

Local news outlet KMBC News reported that two folks have been detained and that the scene was once being categorized “a fluid state of affairs.”

Another X person shared a dramatic video of police dashing inside of Union Station. “My God! Six years to the day of the Parkland School taking pictures and now there’s a capturing at the Super Bowl Parade,” the person wrote. “THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ANYWHERE ELSE, regardless of how the weapons had been bought or who got them, common sense gun rules are needed.”

Prior to the incident the Kansas City police shared a helicopter video of lovers lining the streets of the city throughout the birthday celebration via X. “Kansas City, you look unbelievable at the @chiefs parade,” the post’s caption read. “We are venerated to serve you at the ground and overhead ❤️💛.”

Some Chiefs gamers shared their reactions to the capturing by the use of social media, including Mahomes, 28, who tweeted, “Praying for Kansas City…” Linebacker Drue Tranquill wrote, “Please join me in prayer for the entire sufferers in this heinous act.
