Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar have come far since their onscreen creation at the set of 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer.

“We just would discuss life and stuff like that, and we had totally other philosophies on almost about the entirety,” She’s All That actor completely told Us Weekly in February 2020. “We started this weekly barbecue factor at her house, and me and my cousins would come over and cook dinner meals for her and her friends. And then we’d be certain that everybody ate, and that was kind of how our friendship began.”

Prinze and Gellar’s bond turned after a fumbled dinner date in January 2000. “We were supposed to have dinner with a pal of ours, and he or she didn’t make her airplane, so we went anyway,” he told Us in 2020. “We’d had lots of dinners sooner than and for some explanation why, it felt different that night. Organically, it simply transitioned into one thing else.”

Two years later, the pair tied the knot in September 2002. Nearly seven years later, they expanded their circle of relatives. They share daughter Charlotte and son Rocky, born in 2009 and 2012, respectively.
