Taylor Swift is carefree and fun-loving — a departure from her darker vibe in “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” — within the new music video for her tune “22,” off her Red album, which she debuted on Wednesday, March 13.

In the video, Swift, 23, gallivants around the seashore, the kitchen and a rockin’ house birthday celebration with several gal buddies as she sings concerning the joys of being 22 years previous.

“We shot this video last month in Malibu,” she says in a run-up to the video’s debut on Good Morning America Wednesday. “I’ve never had this a lot enjoyable taking pictures a video as a result of all my friends in the video are in fact all my real-life best friends.” (Keep a watch out for Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr, who makes an appearance.)

The country singer tries on a number of outfits for the fun-filled video, together with a dishevelled white T-shirt with the phrases “Not a lot occurring this present day” and a gloomy glam outfit for the birthday celebration scenes, complete with cat ears.

“It feels like an ideal night time to decorate up like hipsters/ And make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah,” she kicks off the feel-good hit.

Swift, who is understood for penning songs about her famous exes, told the April factor of InStyle UK that all of her past relationships are “fair game” — for each parties involved.

“If I’m gonna write songs about my exes they may be able to write songs about me. That’s how it works,” she informed the e-newsletter. “I’m no longer gonna bitch about it. I’m no longer gonna take a seat there and say, ‘I’m the one one that can write songs about this relationship.’ It’s honest sport.”

The singer, who most recently parted techniques with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, 19, in the past dated a protracted record of bold-faced names, together with John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas.
