Taylor Swift fans are connecting a resurfaced interview with the pop big name to her song “The Prophecy” off of her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

In the 2012 interview, Katie Couric requested Swift, now 34, “Finish this sentence if it is advisable to, ‘In 10 years, I will be …’” to which Swift spoke back, “32 and … Woah, that’s the sort of onerous question. It’s like, all my fears pop out.”

When Couric, 67, requested what Swift meant by way of her statement, the singer elaborated, “Like losing the whole lot, like losing my friends and circle of relatives and finishing up by myself and crying and stuff.”

As Couric encouraged her to take a “more certain method” to the query, Swift added, “In 10 years, I will hopefully know … both have a family or know when I wish to have one, or something.”

As for her professional aspirations, Swift shared, “I do not know. I simply in point of fact don’t want to do that after people get tired of me. I want to know when that line is.”

“Don’t concentrate to ‘the prophecy’ after staring at this clip, simply don’t,” a user wrote via X, along the video.

“It hurts so dangerous oh my god,” one fan commented at the publish, whilst another added, “Oh that is breaking me.”

In the TTPD tune “The Prophecy,” Swift sang about her hope to seek out love — and wondered if it’s her future to finally end up alone.

“Please / I’ve been on my knees / Change the prophecy / Don’t want money / Just somebody who desires my company,” she sang within the refrain. “Let it once be me / Who do I have to speak to / About if they may be able to redo the prophecy?”

While the majority of TTPD is seemingly about Swift’s romances with exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, she made positive to make a nod to her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

In the tune “The Alchemy,” Swift makes use of football references in her lyrics to offer a shout-out to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34.

“So once I landing, call the amateurs and minimize them from the team / Ditch the clowns, get the crown / Baby I’m the one to beat,” she crooned. “Because the signal on your middle said it’s still reserved for me / Honestly, who're we to combat the alchemy?”

Swift also detailed their romance, which began during summer 2023, all over her song “So High School,” where she compares falling for Kelce to being Sixteen again.

“I’m gazing American Pie with you on a Saturday evening / Your friends are around so be quiet / I’m seeking to stifle my sighs,” she sang. “Cause I feel so high school each time I take a look at you / But look at you.”
