Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham Wears Blonde Wig, Talks Plastic Surgery

Even probably the most diehard Teen Mom fan could be forgiven for failing to recognize Farrah Abraham these days.

The 21-year-old MTV celebrity — who underwent a $16,000 nose job and chin implant last month — appeared like an absolutely other individual when she donned a long, platinum blonde wig all through a Los Angeles shopping commute Saturday, Nov. 17.

Abraham did not game the hairpiece when she stopped through Us Weekly's post-American Music Awards celebration in L.A. Sunday, Nov. 18, even though she did open up to Us about why she decided to vary her face. (This wasn't the primary time Abraham has long gone under the knife for cosmetic causes; in 2011, the mother to Sophia, 3, paid $5,000 for a breast augmentation going from an A to a C cup.)

"I waited a lot of years and I dealt with a lot of criticism about certain things on my face, and once I turned 21 I still felt that I wanted to change that, so I did," the Iowa native explained. "I'm done with thinking about [it] and I don't have to think about my face. I just put makeup on, or not, and I go."

Abraham emphasized that it wasn't anything else self-esteem comparable that convinced her to make such dramatic adjustments. "I've always been confident," she shared. "[People's comments were] just something that annoyed me."

So how have folks — and her family members, in particular — reacted to her new look?

"My friends and family don't care," she advised Us, explaining that they have not in point of fact had many conversations about it in any respect. "I don't like to talk about my looks. I'm just like 'Hi, bye.' I don't really care."
