The iconic reality series The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) took the drama from scripted hits Desperate Housewives and Peyton Place and brought it to the real global. Inspired by the presentations’ portrayal of affluent girls in upper-class communities, RHOC used to be created to file the glamorous lives of the real women brushing elbows with CEOs, professional athletes, moguls and more.

The sequence premiered on Bravo in March 2006 and starred Kimberly Bryant, Jo De La Rosa, Vicki Gunavalson, Jeana Keough and Lauri Waring Peterson. The explosive good fortune of the display sparked a whole reality TV franchise highlighting women in several cities across the globe.
