As networks make choices about their programming, Us Weekly will proceed to trace what has been renewed and which TV shows had been canceled.

Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ picked up the collection for a 5th season, which shall be based on Mick Herron’s spy novel London Rules.

The collection, which premiered in 2022, follows a dysfunctional crew of British intelligence brokers who've been assigned to paper-pushing duties on the Slough House. Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden and Christopher Chung.

Minx, in the meantime, didn’t have the same luck when it was canceled for a 2nd time. In May 2022, Max renewed Minx for a 2nd season but reversed the decision by the end of the 12 months.

Starz picked the show up — with season 2 premiering in July 2023 — however handed on ordering a 3rd season. Before the cancellation used to be confirmed in January, Jake Johnson hinted that he didn’t expect good news.

“By proof of me slicing my hair quick, I don’t [be expecting a renewal],” Johnson informed Deadline in December 2023, calling the collection’ fate “unfortunate” because “there used to be so much to that show.”

“I think the transfer to Starz — I feel HBO kind of doing their HBO factor or HBO Max, no matter it’s known as now — I think that used to be brutal for [the show],” he added. “Then, I think the strike popping out right as we have been trying to market it. … My bet is you'll be able to’t beat one thing up that many times and keep going.”
