Friday Night Lights will have led to 2011, but fans’ love for Coach Eric and Tami Taylor won't ever fade away.

Throughout its 5 seasons, Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton introduced true love to the small display because the liked Texas couple who never let any challenge are available in between them — whether they were expecting a brand new baby or making plans a cross-country move. Part of why fans have been so interested in the Taylors’ love tale was once the devotion that Chandler, 54, and Britton, 53, gave to their characters’ union.

The Nashville alum published to Entertainment Weekly in March 2017, years after the show had long gone off the air, that she and Chandler shut down the writers’ thought to have their characters work thru an infidelity story line.

“There was such a lot pastime about these characters that we were playing and this world that we had been developing,” Britton said at the time. “We felt very strongly about the things that we felt strongly about … We were like, ‘We’re never letting the writers have us have an affair. If they are attempting to do it, we’re now not going to do it.’ And we advised them so.”
